Tanzania Photo Safari

A Luxury Experience in some of the most beautiful landscapes on the planet..

We’re stepping it up in 2018! On this photography adventure you’ll see some of the most amazing animals the planet has to offer! Lions, Cheetahs, Rhino’s, Elephants, and Leopards to name a few!

Tanzania, Africa is one of the best places in Africa to do a photo safari!  Jaw-dropping landscapes and a ton of wildlife makes this THE trip of a lifetime!  Not to mention we’ll be shooting a ton and I intentionally keep the group small so we can travel easily and instruction will be intimate.  We’ll have plenty of time to shoot, laugh, share stories, edit photos and learn about the culture and each other.  We’ll also be sneaking in a bit of adventure for you thrill seekers.  😀

THE SEASON

February is a wonderful time to go on safari in Tanzania, Africa. The land is green, the weather a bit cooler, and the animals are extremely active as a result. It’s also wildebeest calving season which makes for a lot of activity and babies! It tends to rain a bit in the afternoons but usually lets up after a short downpour. Light rain gear is advised this time of year. Temperatures tend to be in the 80’s during the day and can drop into the 50’s in the evenings. It’s very pleasant and you’ll also avoid much of the crowds that come in December and January.

THE ANIMALS

Chances are extremely good that you will see EVERYTHING!!!

That means The African Big Five (leopards, rhinos, elephants, cape buffalo, and lions) plus all the other guys (tons of different types of antelope, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, warthogs, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, flamingos, ostriches, all the other birds you could ever hope for, and a bunch more!!

*January and February is when the Wildebeests give birth. The animal migration is in full effect and they’re all busy feeding on the lush vegetation. The region is VERY active and thriving. John’s personal favorite time of year to visit!

ACCOMMODATIONS + DINING

Every overnight stay on the itinerary is top-quality.  We will be staying at a mix of traditional “permanent” lodges and luxury semi-permanent tented camps. (These camps have running water, hot showers, electricity, and all of the creature comforts of home – some even have wifi!). Think ‘glamping!’  We have some cool surprises in store for you as well!  As for dining – we’ve got you covered!  Exquisite meals every day from some of Tanzania’s finest culinary geniuses!!
